Trade · dealerships: OEM service departments & used-car dealers

Sublet the roof job.
Keep the customer.

Two cars generate this phone call. The customer convertible in your service lane with a fault your workshop doesn't tool for — and the convertible on your used lot with the roof you haven't cycled since it was appraised. Both carry your badge the moment they go wrong. OEM dealerships in two states already send us both kinds, on purchase orders and account billing, and the work comes back with a parts & labour warranty your name can stand on.

Where we fit

The service lane.
And the used lot.

Same specialist, two different problems. One is a booked customer waiting on a fix; the other is stock you'd rather not retail with a question mark folded into the roof.

Lane 01

Service departments

Customer cars, sublet clean

What you send

The roof faults your own workshop can't schedule or doesn't tool for: a roof that won't open, hydraulics weeping into the boot, leak tracing that's outlived two bookings, sunshades and cassettes that need a strip-down rather than an assembly swap.

What we do

Diagnose first, then quote with evidence: the failed part named, photographed and itemised, so your service advisor can put it in front of a customer without flinching. We repair where repair is right instead of defaulting to the dearest part on the parts diagram.

How it bills

Raise a PO, send the car, get an itemised invoice against it. That's how our dealer accounts already operate, for OEM dealerships in two states. One contact, one accountable repairer, one warranty under the work your badge ends up standing on.

Lane 02

Used-car reconditioning

Know the roof before the buyer does

The risk on the lot

A convertible gets appraised on paint, kays and service history — and the roof gets cycled once, on a dry day, if at all. The buyer cycles it every weekend. If a seal, drain or cylinder is on its way out, you'll hear about it after the sale, with your name on the contract.

Pre-sale checks: ask us

Before you retail it, ask us to look at it. We'll cycle the roof, check seals, drains, mechanism and hydraulics, and tell you plainly what it needs and what can wait. No productised package. Just a phone call and a straight answer about a specific car.

Recon work

Where the roof does need work before sale, it's the usual suspects: a roof that won't cycle right, perished seals, blocked drains, hydraulic cylinders due a rebuild. We don't do any trimming or upholstery — re-covering fabric or rear screens is a motor-trimmer's trade — but the mechanical, hydraulic and sealing side we fix once, properly, with the same warranty, which reads a lot better on a used-car deal than "the roof worked when it left".

The warranty, tested

What happened when a
dealer job came back

Every sublet partner promises a warranty. The only version that matters is what happens when someone calls it in. So here's the one time a dealer client did.

What happened
A rebuild we'd done for a dealer client needed revisiting under warranty. Not a hypothetical, not fine print — a real car, back through the door, with the dealer's customer waiting on it.
What we did
Redid the work. No argument, no second invoice, no quibbling over whose fault the failure was while the dealer's customer waited. The job went back out right, and the account carried on.
Why it matters to you
Your customer's complaint lands on your service desk, not ours — so our parts & labour warranty has to sit back-to-back with whatever you've promised them. If our repair fails inside the warranty, that's our problem to fix, not a negotiation.
Credentials
Convertible & Sunroof Autocentre · ABN 28 764 532 243 · Public liability insurance held, certificate of currency on request.

The same warranty applies to every trade job: service lane or used lot, PO or account. Insurance roof claims on customer cars run through our insurers & assessors desk; extended-warranty claims through the warranty administrators desk.

How an account opens

First the job. Then the terms in writing.

  1. 1

    Send the first job

Raise a PO, call 0418 200 289 with the car and the symptom, and send it over: drivable, on a tilt-tray, or dropped off by your driver. The first job opens the account.

  2. 2

    Diagnosis & quote, with evidence

What failed, photos of it, parts and labour itemised against your PO. Your service manager approves it with something solid in hand, not a one-line estimate.

  3. 3

    The repair, warranted

OEM or premium aftermarket parts, fitted by specialist technicians, tested before the car goes back. Parts & labour warranty, back-to-back with your customer promise.

  4. 4

    Terms in writing

Once you've seen how the work and the paperwork land, we put the account on paper: billing, scheduling and rates. Volume commitments are negotiable against a known pipeline.

Straight answers

What dealerships
ask us first

If yours isn't here — fixed operations, used cars or accounts — call and ask. Same straight answer either way.

Ask us directly
Can we raise a PO and pay on account?

Yes — that's already how our dealer accounts run. OEM dealerships in two states send us roof work against purchase orders and on account today. Raise the PO, send the car, and the itemised invoice comes back against your number, formatted the way your accounts team needs it.

What warranty stands behind the work we on-bill to our customer?

Parts and labour on the repair, the same warranty a retail customer gets, sitting back-to-back with whatever you promise your customer. And it has been tested: when a rebuild for a dealer client needed revisiting under warranty, we redid the work without an argument and without a second invoice.

Can you check a roof before we retail a used convertible?

Ask us. If there's a convertible on your lot and nobody has cycled the roof since it was appraised, send it over or call 0418 200 289. We'll cycle it, look at the seals, drains, mechanism and hydraulics, and tell you what it actually needs, before a buyer finds out the hard way. We're open Saturdays, which helps when the lot is busiest.

How does a dealer account open?

With the first job. Send a car with a PO, see how the work and the paperwork land, and then we put terms in writing: billing, scheduling and rates. Volume commitments are negotiable: if your brand puts a steady line of roofs through the service lane, the terms move with it.

Next step

Raise the PO.
Send the car.

No onboarding pack and no waiting on a vendor portal. The first job opens the account, and the terms follow in writing. Call 0418 200 289, or email with your details and we'll set the account up around how your dealership already bills.
